I started painting miniatures in 2022, and since then, I've been deeply invested in this hobby. At first, I was drawn to miniature painting because of the challenge it posed. The intricate details and tiny proportions of the models fascinated me, and I found myself pouring hours into perfecting each piece. Over time, I began to appreciate the beauty in the imperfections and the character they brought to my miniatures.
As I became more confident in my skills, I started incorporating these miniatures into dioramas. Creating entire scenes and stories using my miniatures was a new level of creative expression for me. It allowed me to explore new worlds and tell different stories in ways that I couldn't do with just individual miniatures. The possibilities were endless, and I found myself constantly inspired by new ideas and themes.
As my passion for miniature painting and diorama making grew, in October 2022, I decided to start my own brand called Rogue Brush. It's been an incredible journey so far, and I'm excited to see where it takes me. While my job as a UX Lead Designer is also a creative one, I find that the process of creating dioramas provides a different kind of creative outlet. It's a way for me to express my ideas and emotions in a way that's more personal and immersive.
For me, miniature painting and diorama making are more than just a hobby. It allows me to explore new ideas, experiment with different techniques, and express myself in ways that I can't do in my regular job. It's a form of meditation and therapy that helps me unwind and de-stress after a long day.
